Waterloo Burn down Rescue is an emergency services section in northeast Iowa. Established in 1904 as a professional system of firefighters, the department continues to strive toward creating a prophylactic conscious community in Waterloo. The department provides its citizens an advanced life support (ALS) ambulance service, performs fire suppression and rescue operations, conducts emergency management, and offers other special services including chancy materials mitigation and technical rescue. Waterloo Fire Rescue serves a resident population of roughly lxx,000 people over an surface area of over 80 foursquare miles. With about 100 personnel, the section staffs six stations within city limits and uses three battalions.

Lock Box Program
The department is currently taking applications for residents who would benefit from a lock box programme, intended for people who may be unable to unlock their door in the event of an emergency. The lock box will exist secured to the residence and can only be opened past members of Waterloo Fire Rescue. Occupants would need to provide a spare key that can exist placed inside the lock box. This free program is limited to those in greatest demand. Simply fill out the online application, and a member from the department will exist in contact.

Smoke Detector Programme
The American Cherry-red Cantankerous has donated fume detectors to the customs members of Waterloo who practice non currently accept the recommended number of working smoke detectors in their home. The ideal applicant for this free program is an individual, or family, who is unable to provide and/or install the recommended amount of smoke detectors in their current residence. Once an online awarding is approved, members of Waterloo Fire Rescue will come up to the residence and install detectors free of charge.
